Kayseri University Ata Seed Application and Research Center delivered vegetable seedlings produced from domestic seeds to citizens in cooperation with Develi Municipality. The event, which was held with the slogan “The seed is ours, labor is ours, the future is all of us,” was held to protect ancestral seeds and support local production. Citizens showed great interest in the seedling distribution held in Develi Cumhuriyet Square. As part of the event, local tomato, pepper and eggplant seedlings produced at the center were distributed to the public free of charge. The program emphasizes that the protection of ancestral seeds is of great importance for the sustainability of regional agriculture.
