“KAYU Ata Seed Center Held a Local Seed Exchange in Çöten Village”

A meaningful horse seed clearing event was organized by Kayseri University Ata Seed Application and Research Center at Çöten Village Hacı Kemal Kaman Primary and Secondary School. Within the scope of the event, local tomato ancestral seeds were distributed to the students in the village by the central team. On behalf of the students of Çöten Village, District Director of National Education Ali Arslan contributed to the exchange by giving the ancestral seed lentils, which are the traditional product of the village, to the center. This symbolic trade-off drew attention to both the protection of local varieties and created indigenous seed awareness in children. The Ata Seed Application and Research Center continues its clearing and awareness work with schools in the region to support the sustainability of local seeds.
